Bulgarian Visit

The World Evangelical Congregational Fellowship  Mid-Term Conference was held in Velingrad, Bulgaria  from the 10th to 12th September, 2008. Alan went as on behalf of the EFCC’s Missionary Advisory Council.

Alan flew out late Monday afternoon from London Gatwick  on a direct flight to Sophia, the capital of Bulgaria. There I was met by one of the local believers who took me by car to a hotel in the city centre. On the Wednesday it was off to Velingrad. The town is located about 75 miles southeast of Sofia.  It is a notable Spa Resort about 2,400 feet above sea level ad lies in the western end of the Chepino Valley, in the Rodopi Mountains.

There were representatives from Australia, America, the UK, Macedonia and Bulgaria. The theme of the Conference was ‘Revival - The Day of God’s Power’.

Following the conference Alan had the privilege of visiting and preaching at the church in Sliven and Gradets, some 200 miles east of Sophia , as well as visiting the Romani church at Orizari.
